Confectionery company Mentos has launched a new Very Berry Roll in Australia.
Stuart Alexander, which distributes the Mentos brand in Australia, said the new roll, which is a combination of three popular flavours — Strawberry, Raspberry and Blackcurrent — was developed in response to consumer demand. The Company expects the new roll will follow the success of the Strawberry Roll launched in 2013, which experienced 26.3 per cent growth.
“Our consumer research showed that Strawberry, Raspberry and Blackcurrant are three of the most popular flavours, and we wanted to provide a product that met the demand,” said Paddy Bryans, Head of Marketing Confectionery and Snacks at Stuart Alexander.
In Australia, Mentos sells nearly 40 million rolls annually. Stuart Alexander said the Mint Mentos roll is “consistently the number one selling candy roll”.
Stuart Alexander also distributes Chupa Chups lollipops, Fisherman’s Friend mints, Guylian chocolates, Illy coffee, Pringles chips, Werther’s Original confectionery and Tabasco hot sauce.
Mentos Very Berry will launch into major supermarkets from March 2014.
