Arnott’s, the makTim Tamsers of the iconic Australian chocolate coated Tim Tam biscuits, has now teamed up with Australian celebrity patissier Adriano Zumbo to create a ‘limited edition’ range of Tim Tams available in March 2014.

Currently Australians consume over 45 million packs of Tim Tams each year.

The range will include three new flavours: ‘Raspberry White Choc’, ‘Salted Caramel’ and ‘Choc Brownie’.

Arnott’s said the range, which is launching as part of Tim Tam’s 50th birthday celebrations, was inspired by Mr Zumbo’s “whimsical take on desserts”. The Company said flavour news was a proven growth driver for the chocolate biscuit category and had been successful for Tim Tam in the past. The limited edition Adriano Zumbo creations are expected to attract light buyers and drive incremental sales for the category.

“Arnott’s Tim Tam always strives to provide innovative flavour variety to our fans,” said Susanna Polycarpou, Arnott’s Marketing Director.

“Working with patissier extraordinaire Adriano Zumbo, we have produced fun, unique offerings that match our consumers’ evolving tastes for indulgent and sophisticated flavours, ensuring Tim Tam remains Australia’s favourite chocolate biscuit,” she said.

Mr Zumbo, who is an Australian and French-trained patissier, is best known for his elaborate desserts and has developed a cult following thanks to appearances on television program MasterChef in 2010.

“It was an honour to personally develop my own range of Tim Tam biscuits,” Mr Zumbo said. “I grew up on the iconic Aussie bikkie and it’s a joy to be able to put my own twist on it,” he said.

“I’ve played on traditional dessert flavours such as raspberry in addition to daring consumers to try different ingredient combinations like salted caramel,” Mr Zumbo said.

Adriano Zumbo’s Tim Tam creations will be available in treat packs from March 2014 in Coles and Woolworths supermarkets and independent grocers across Australia for RRP $1.89.
