Food manufacturer Mother Earth has released a new baked snack food, which it calls ‘muffin balls’, named Pingos.

The muffin balls come in three flavours: Chocolate, Strawberry Smoothie and Raspberry Yoghurt, which the Company said are “made from real milk chocolate, and real fruit and milk ingredients”. Mother Earth said Pingos contain “no artificial colours or flavours”, and come in 17 gram balls.

“We saw a gap for a fun, better-for-you snack for children,” said Kevin Hawkes, General Manager Marketing for Mother Earth. “The cheeky Pingos monkey and a range of yummy flavours appeals to them, while Mums and Dads can be confident they’re giving their children a snack that contains wholesome ingredients,” he said.

The Mother Earth range also includes Baked Oaty Slices and a range of nuts and fruit and nut blends. Mother Earth Pingos are available at Coles supermarkets for RRP $3.99 for a box of eight individually wrapped muffin balls.
