Ruffles, a snack brand owned by PepsiCo's Frito-Lay division, has unveiled Deep Ridged Classic Hot Wing flavored potato chips inspired by Buffalo Wild Wings.
The new flavor is claimed to offer a combination of vinegar, chicken and hot sauce, and will be rolled out this month.
To launch the Deep Ridged Classic Hot Wing chips, PepsiCo has partnered with Buffalo Wild Wings, and it is also primary soft drink and non-carbonated beverage provider for the latter's corporate-owned and franchise restaurants.
The product is recommended to pair perfectly with new Ruffles Creamy Buffalo Ranch Dip, and will be available in 2.5oz and 7.5oz bags for $1.49 and $4.29, respectively.
The Ruffles Buffalo Ranch Dip comes in a 15oz jar for a retail price of $3.69.
Frito-Lay North America is the $13bn convenient foods business unit of PepsiCo, which also owns Pepsi-Cola, Quaker Foods, Gatorade and Tropicana businesses.
