Burton's Biscuit, a UK-based biscuit manufacturer, is strengthening its manufacturing operations in the UK, with an investment of £14.75m.
The investment will be made at the company's facilities in Llantarnam, Blackpool and Edinburgh, as well as at chocolate refinery in Moreton.
The move will allow Burton's to increase production capacity and expand its reach to new markets.
With this project, the company will also strengthen its savory snacks expertise, in addition to investment in new packaging capabilities to cater to the increasing demand for snacks.
Burton's Biscuit chief supply chain officer Neil Grocock said that this increased investment in manufacturing capabilities is a driving force behind the company's ambitions to expand the footprint of its Power Brands domestically and internationally.
"We're launching some of the most innovative products in the marketplace, and investing in our capabilities enables us to bring these new products to market quicker than any other company in the market."
Burton's Biscuit was formed from the merger of Burton's Gold Medal Biscuits and Horizon Biscuit in October 2000, and re-branded from Burton's Foods to Burton's Biscuit in November 2011.
