Tesco Extra in Slough, England has announced it will offer free HIV tests to customers.
The supermarket giant has partnered with the sexual health charity, Thames Valley Positive Support (TVPS), to offer shoppers the opportunity to take the test at the Tesco Extra store.
HIV tests will be carried out at a private room at the supermarket store on Wellington Street, Slough.
Free condoms will also be handed out at the Slough grocery store.
"Testing in supermarkets has only ever been offered as a one-off event and not a regular basis," said Sarah Macadam, chief executive of TVPS.
"We are extremely pleased that Tesco are so committed to their community's well-being, which is enabling us to bring such an innovation in testing to Slough."
The Time to Test service offers two types of HIV test - an oral swab test with results in 20 minutes and a pin-prick test giving results in one minute.
The service will commence on May 19.
