Chilean fruit exports increased by almost 12% between January and April

Core Tip: During the first four months of 2014, Chilean exports increased by 2.9% amounting to U.S. $26,184,000. Non-mining or pulp exports totalled 11,410 million, 6.6% more than in the same period last year.
During the first four months of 2014, Chilean exports increased by 2.9% amounting to U.S. $26,184,000. Non-mining or pulp exports totalled 11,410 million, 6.6% more than in the same period last year.

Fruit exports amounted to 2,703 million dollars, 11.9% more than in the same period of 2013.

Imports and trade balance

FOB imports amounted to 22,564 million dollars, 7.9% less than last year. There was a 3,620 million dollars surplus in the trade balance between January and April 2014, 2,670 million dollars more than the balance of the same period in 2013 (950 million dollars).
