‘Really Indian’ Original Curry Saucesauces from Yorkshire husband and wife team, Amrik and Gursharon Rauth, are being launched in catering packs for the first time in the UK and in Europe following a successful sales campaign.

The ‘Original Curry Sauce’ range is now available in 2.3 litre pots for catering needs.

The ‘Original Curry Sauce’ range is designed to be a healthy versatile curry sauce perfect either on its own or as a base for any favourite curry – allowing busy chefs to cook all the curries in the range by making minor tweaks of their own.

The chilled sauces, which have a shelf life of 12 weeks, are available in three strengths – mild, medium and hot – and all contain less than 1 % fat, are low in salt and contain no additives making them a healthy way to eat Indian dishes, when combined with vegetables or lean cuts of meat or fish.

The curry bases take twenty minutes to cook when combined with vegetables, meat or fish.

The Company, founded in Leeds two years ago, has increased its distribution and is expanding its manufacturing site to cope with the increased demand both at home and abroad.

The authentic Indian curry sauces were created when Amrik began studying for a law degree whilst working full-time.

Gursharon, a family counsellor, found looking after three young boys, working full-time and cooking an Indian meal from scratch each day a challenge.

She said: “I started experimenting with ready-made cooking sauces and was amazed at how different they were from scratch cooking. They were far unhealthier, used additives and also lacked texture and taste.

“My sons would say ‘they are not really Indian’ which is why we chose the name for our brand.”

The speciality curry sauces are made from a family recipe which includes a blend of 15 different spices combined with fresh chillies, garlic, onions, root ginger and tomatoes.
