Seattle-based Jones Soda Co. announced that distribution for its natural soda line expanded into the Pacific Northwest, Texas and Canada. The line originally launched in California in 2013 as Jones Natural Soda, but the company has rebranded it as Jones Stripped.
The new Jones Stripped brand boasts the tagline, “Stripped to the Bare Essentials,” which more accurately represents the core element of the product and the Jones brand, the company says. In addition, the reworked packaging features bright colors and highlights the lineup’s 30-calorie count. Available in Orange Mango, Cherry, Lemon Lime, Green Apple, Huckleberry and Chipotle Pineapple, Jones Stripped is sweetened with a blend of natural sweeteners, including pure cane sugar, organic agave syrup and stevia.
Jones Stripped will be distributed across the country by UNFI, Nature’s Best and KeHe. In its home Northwest market, Jones Soda has secured the Pacific Northwest division of Whole Foods Market for all flavors of Jones Stripped and will be presenting the new line to other grocery and retail accounts. Jones Soda also has renewed listings with Whole Foods in the northern California market as well as other California boutique grocery chains such as Bristol Farms, Gelson’s and Mollie Stone’s.
Jones Stripped also will be available in Texas, initially through the HEB natural grocery chain. Internationally, Jones Stripped initially will be rolled out to select markets across Canada.
“We are very excited to expand our natural line of sodas to new markets as we continue to build our pure cane Jones Soda and zero-calorie Jones Soda Zilch in our focus markets,” said Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Cue in a statement. “We at Jones are proud of our portfolio of products that offers something for every consumer.”
