Yuengling's Ice Cream, a product that was on the shelves for 65 years and then reintroduced earlier this year, has officially made it to western Pennsylvania and Ohio.
riginally available in select independent grocers in western PA, it is now available in all Giant Eagle locations.
Based in Pittsburgh with more than 230 locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia, the addition of Giant Eagle to Yuengling's Ice Cream distribution brings it to 10 states.
"Bringing our ice cream to western Pennsylvania, specifically Pittsburgh, has been in the plans since our relaunch," said David Yuengling, president of Yuengling's Ice Cream. "Because Giant Eagle also has locations in Ohio, it allows us to introduce our ice cream to a new set of customers."
Giant Eagle will be carrying the entire ten flavors of Yuengling's Ice Cream line, though availability will vary by location. Yuengling's Ice Cream Flavors are:

. Black and Tan (chocolate and caramel ice cream) . Root Beer Float

Yuengling's Ice Cream's signature flavor, Black & Tan, is a creamy swirl of Belgian chocolate and salted caramel ice creams. The name is a nod to the company's historical ties to the Yuengling Brewery, though there is no beer in the ice cream. Black & Tan is the company's best-selling ice cream, followed closely by its traditional Vanilla.
