Griesson – de Bbiscuitseukelaer (GdB) – one of the manufacturers and marketer of sweet biscuits and savoury snacks in Germany – has made its first move into the sweet biscuits branded UK market with the launch of the DeBeukelaer Cookies Bakery range.

The range comprises: Brownie (soft-baked), Creamy (nougat filled) and Crispy (milk chocolate with hazelnuts) varieties.

The cookies are inspired by Greenwich Village bakeries in New York.

Each XXL cookie is single-wrapped to ensure fresh taste.

The wrappers resembling an American newspaper convey the original feeling of New York City – like the good old days when cookies were handed straight over the shop counter.

The Creamy Cookie “Filled with smooth nougat cream” offers a crispy biscuit with chocolate chunks and a creamy nougat filling.

The Crispy Cookie “Crunchy Chocolate Hazelnut” is baked to be especially crunchy and contains extra-large chunks of chocolate and tasty hazelnuts.

The Brownie Cookie “Soft Baked Chocolate” has a smooth mouth feel –like a cookie come straight from the oven.

All three varieties can not only be eaten cold, but also warm, cooked in the microwave.

There are four Cookies in the retail pack (168g). They retail at £1.99.

A strong program of support for Cookies Bakery will include product sampling in Tesco stores as well as online, magazine and national press advertising.
