Be Active, a global manufacturer of frozen yogurt and fudge bars, has restarted manufacturing of Jala in early May 2014 and has now embarked on transporting it to local food chains and privately held stores.
New-Jersey based Cookie Face has been appointed as the contract-manufacturer for the production of Jala.
Initially, yogurt bars will be offered in blueberry, strawberry and chocolate flavours.
Be Active founder and president Sam Pugliese said that over the past couple months, the company have resumed production of certain products for distribution.
"We are proud of our rebranding, which includes new product formats and new packaging and believe Jala will be well received by consumers," Pugliese added.
"The recent infusion of $250,000 of additional capital into the company from insiders demonstrates the enthusiasm of our team as we enter the growth phase for Jala."
Designed to appeal to both health conscious and weight conscious consumers, the low fat, low calorie, all natural probiotic enriched Greek frozen yogurt Jala is currently on sale in the New York metro area at Westside Market locations and other select locations.
