In Voronezh, after the announcement of retaliatory sanctions mushroom prices unexpectedly rose. Special attention was never paid to the price of this product. The problems were estimated to arise with the price of cheese, fruit and fish. However, it is the mushrooms that have gone up in price by at least 2 Euro per kilo.
On August 6, in response to Western sanctions, the Russian government banned the import of meat, dairy and fish products from the EU, USA, Norway, Canada and Australia. An embargo on Polish vegetables and fruit had been imposed before.
However, a new regulation has been published on the government website. Russia has amended its ban, enabling lactose-free milk, lactose-free dairy products, seed potatoes and onions, seeds of peas and sweet corn.
