JBT acquires Wolf-tec for $54m

Global food processing equipment manufacturer JBT has acquired protein processing equipment provider Wolf-tec for $54m to strengthen its protein processing and liquid foods portfolios.

Wolf-tec offers ingredient preparation, blending, injection, marination, massaging, and portioning solutions for poultry, beef, pork, and seafood industries. The acquisition enables JBT to meet customer needs through an expanded portfolio of protein processing equipment and solutions.

It is the latest in the series of JBT's acquisition of ICS Solutions and Formcook earlier this year.

Wolf-tec CEO Ralf Ludwig said: "Our equipment is frequently utilized in line with JBT's portioning, cooking and freezing solutions by our customers on the same production line.
