American establishment It Takes a Village Foods is recalling Veggie Evolution Kale Crisps Zen Nori as it contains soy that is not mentioned on the packaging, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recalled product is Veggie Evolution Kale Crisps Zen Nori packaged in a 1.5oz package with Best if Used By date stamp on or before 21 February 2016.

This product was distributed to retail stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Michigan, Oregon and Utah from 18 September 2014 through 15 July 2015.

The recall has been initilated after the product was found to contain soybeans which was not mentioned on the packaging.

Consumption of the recalled product may cause serious or life threatening allergic reaction in people allergic or severe sensitive to soy.

Neither the company nor the FDA have received reports of illnesses associated with the consumption of the recalled product yet.
