Six year old Cintia, from Cambrils, eight year old Angélica, of Calaf; nine year old Ariadna, of Mataro; Gerard, also nine, from Lleida, and eleven year old Arnau, of Dosrius, were the winners selected by the jury, formed by the creative director of Agencia Talkom, the director of the producer Trébol and the marketing director of Afrucat. The winners were selected from the more than 300 participants who sent their video-selfies during the months of March and April.
Fruit Consumption Plan for Schools
The contest was open to pupils of the 1,200 schools in Catalonia participating in the Fruit Consumption Plan for Schools organised by the Government of Catalonia and the European Union through Afrucat. This plan involves giving children three pieces of fruit each month in each school for them to consume in the premises. The idea is to encourage the consumption of fruit among children. Furthermore, schools have to organise additional educational activities related to the consumption of fruit and healthy lifestyles. The plan is complemented by a series of educational workshops on fruit consumption, organised by Afrucat and the Government of Catalonia.
