FreshCut, based in Galicia, Spain, is fully involved in the marketing of healthy products made from fruit and vegetables, which are exported to France, Andorra and Portugal. The company, part of the group Frutas Nieves, increased its turnover by 45% in 2015 compared to the previous year, reaching one million Euro.
The reason for this significant increase in sales is mostly the successful launch of its range of processed products, which includes purees of various fruits and vegetable soups made with produce from the best orchards, with 100% natural ingredients, without additives, lactose or gluten and based on research and development processes.
The production of GaliFresh compotes reached two million pots in 2015 and 734,000 have already been sold in the first quarter of 2016. As for vegetable soups, more than 100,000 units have been sold since their market launch seven months ago.
Founded in 2012 to create added value in the fruit and vegetable sector and meet the high demand for healthy processed products, the R+D+i department at FreshCut continues to focus its work on flavours and textures in order to launch new innovative products in the coming months.
