​In June, 2016, China Food and Drug Administration organized the sampling inspection of 227 infants and young children formula milk powder, among which 2 batches of sample were nonconforming: 10 items of nutrients of Yabais infants formula milk powder (Stage 1) produced by Yabais (Shenzhen) Dairy Co., Ltd did not comply with the national food safety standard and there were food safety risks; the older infants formula milk powder produced by Liaoyuan Dairy Co., Ltd (Linxia, Gansu) complied with the national food safety standard, but it did not comply with the marked values on the label of product package. Pepsico Greater China issued a statement on “Aspartame”

Last August, since some customers worried about the safety of Aspartame, Pepsi announced to stop use of the artificial sweetener, Aspartame. While, Pepsi announced recently that it would reuse Aspartame for Pepsi Light series in American market; however, the doubt on safety of Aspartame still existed. Pepsi issued a related statement, which referenced the opinion of an international organization on the edible safety of Aspartame published in website of China Beverage Industry Association, and declared that Pepsi strictly complied with the regulations and standards of country where the products were located, thus the products were safe. Live worm was found in Abbott milk powder, and Carrefour supermarket removed the involved products off shelves

On July 20, a Live worm was found crawling in Abbott milk powder newly purchased by a customer. The staff of Abbott replied that it was due to the air leakage of milk powder can during transportation. At present, Abbott staff was communicating actively with customer on the matter.
