Based on statistics collected by Zhangzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Zhangzhou totally exported 2, 055 batches and 60, 200 tonnes of canned sea fish product from January to October, increasing by 17.1% and 11.1% respectively. Facing global recession in economy and dropping consumption ability in international market, Zhangzhou canned sea fish product export still realized such extraordinary growth, breaking through 60, 000 tonnes, which was outstanding.
Sea fish canned product was the newly developed high value-added category of Zhangzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, which was also the new booming point of export of canned product in Zhangzhou. Up to now, sea fish can has become the second largest export species of canned product in Zhangzhou, including mackerel fish can, sardine fish can, tuna fish can and so on.
To realized stable export growth, The Bureau has implemented many measures, helping build China Can Food Quality and Technology Information Comprehensive Service Platform. Foreign and domestic policies and regulations, technology standards, risks etc. would be timely published on the platform.
Besides, the Bureau also actively recommended qualified enterprises to register overseas and helped them expand high-end market in America, EU, Russia, Australia and so on. This year, it exported tuna can to America for the first time and fill the empty. The export to EU also doubled this year.
