The Premium Fruct juice factory in Campulung, manufacturer of the Profructta brand, saw 2016 come to a close with 110,000 Euro in revenue, which is double the figure achieved in the previous year. Nearly half of this revenue comes from the sale of apple juice.
Business partners Marius and Criana Măcărescu explain that this is the result of increased product diversification and the expansion to more distribution points - including supermarkets, shops, cafes, hotels and restaurants in Bucharest and other cities.
"We aim to continue our positive development and double our revenue again in 2017 thanks to projects and investments that we have in mind," says Andreea Mureşeanu, general manager of Premium Fruct.
The initial investment in Campulung's juice manufacturing plant amounted to 600,000 Euro and came entirely from its own funds. Currently, the plant processes about 2,000 litres of fruit and vegetable juices daily and has a maximum processing capacity of up to 8,000 litres per day.
According to representatives of Profructta, the sales growth is due to the increasingly high consumption of Romanian juices and other domestic products.
"The most important project this year is the launch of the processing of dried fruit and vegetables, expected to take place this autumn. We will also invest in advertising and the promotion of new products. The investment budget for 2017 amounts to 100,000 Euro," stated Andreea Mureşeanu.
