On July 8, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers from the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility discovered 22kg of cocaine hidden in a tomato shipment.
During a secondary inspection, CBP officers utilized a non-intrusive imagining (NII) system along with the help of a canine team to locate the narcotics. CBP officers extracted 16 packages of alleged cocaine co-mingled within a shipment of tomatoes.
