The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that Taylor Farms Retail, Inc. has issued a recall of its “TAYLOR FARMS CREAMY HOMESTYLE COLESLAW KITS” because the product contains the milk allergen in its dressing packet, which was not declared on its labeling. Taylor Farms Retail is based in Salinas, California.

293 cases of the coleslaw are being recalled, manufactured on a single production day: July 31, 2017. Distributed to Raley’s and Savemart stores in California, the bags of coleslaw affected by the recall are stamped with a “Best If Used By Date” of 08-16-17 and the lot code TFRS212A07C on the front of each bag.

People who are allergic to milk should not eat this coleslaw product. The bags need to be disposed of or returned to the store for a refund.
