The expert also spoke about the problems faced by Kyrgyz producers. The most acute of these remains the issue of opening up production facilities engaged in the processing of agricultural products. Kyrgyzstan's shipments to EAPP countries currently consist mainly of raw vegetables and fruits.
For his part, the representative of the Agency for the Protection of Investments, Ulan Chekirbayev, drew attention to the fact that another serious problem for local entrepreneurs is the lack of information on the regulations and requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union.
According to him, people often don't know where to obtain permits to export their goods or how to establish contracts in accordance with the technical regulations of the EAEC.
It is worth noting that in the period from January to June of 2018, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover was worth $ 3.25 billion. At the same time, the value of Kyrgyz exports grew by 2.7% to $ 811.8 million.
In the same period, Kyrgyzstan traded goods worth $ 1 billion 116.4 million with other members of the Eurasian Economic Union, while the value of exports to EEA countries during this period amounted to $ 311 million, which is 19% more than in the first half of 2017.
