The Minister said that this asparagus processing plant would modernize the packaging of this product. He also said that the infrastructure was implemented thanks to the co-financing granted by the sector through the Compensation Program for Competitiveness -Agroideas.
Business plan
The Business Plan, implemented in 2016, involved an investment of more than 1 million soles by the State for the installation and equipment of a processing plant and automated packaging line of green asparagus with state-of-the-art technology. In addition, 73 agrarian producers that make up the organization invested more than 700,000 soles to make this plant a reality.
With the implementation of this technology, the agrarian organization will have the necessary infrastructure to carry out the collection and transformation process that this type of cultivation requires. In addition, the process of the post-harvest production system will be optimized and producers will obtaining packed asparagus that is ready for export. This will improve the process to market fresh green asparagus and industrialization of farmers.
At the forefront of agrarian technology
The design of the refrigerated processing plant is adjusted to the volume and presentations required by the international market, with a daily production capacity of 15 tons.
The automation of the process of fresh green asparagus will reduce costs, produce a greater efficiency in the classification and cutting, and guarantee a greater quantity of fresh exportable product.
