“This year, the export price of garlic has remained relatively stable after a brief but small increase in mid-to-late October. Overall, the quality of garlic this season was good, and was not affected by pests and diseases during the production process. This is according to Annie Chen of the Jining Fenduni Foodstuff Co., Ltd.
“Because of the excessive production, the export price of garlic this year is lower than that of the same period of last year. Many suppliers have sold their garlic as soon as possible in order to win customers. This has lowered the selling price, which makes the overall price on the market very high. It is difficult for the price to rise sharply."
“At this stage, our garlic is exported to Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Central America and other countries and regions, including Central America. Although the increase in local production in Brazil and other countries has affected the Chinese garlic export to some extent. But in general, the current garlic export market is relatively stable."
