Since it launched its natural controlled atmosphere modules, the French company Janny MT has accompanied many producers in their fruit conservation projects. At the SIVAL 2019, the interest of the vegetable sector continued to grow, as observed by Benoit Janny, manager of the company. “We noted the growing interest from the vegetable sector to integrate our conservation equipment on their farms. Post-harvest storage is becoming an important part of the vegetable production landscape.”

Conservation is particularly interesting for winter vegetables, explains Benoit. “First, a strategic conservation tool helps reduce production losses and optimize work organization. The longer conservation duration prevents downgrading and lengthens the sales periods. It also allows for perfect vegetables to be available longer, even when harvesting is impossible because of the frost. The Controlled Atmosphere is becoming essential as a smooth link between production and sales.”
