Recently, a picture was posted online saying that an agency recalled dried Laoganma-flavored chicken oil and chili pepper because it contained epoxy soybean oil and said that the substance was used as a thickener for the lid to ensure that the product was sealed, but it may penetrate into food through the lid. In this notice, customers who have purchased the relevant products are required not to eat the product, but the notice does not specify the batch number of the recalled products. The circular also left a contact number ,which is the Dutch national area code.
In response to this situation, Lao Gan Ma Company on February 18 said that it had not issued this notice, nor recalled the relevant products, no such thing.
Reporter learned that epoxy soybean oil is a chemical product produced by oxidation of soybean oil, which is internationally recognized as a chemical process additive for food packaging materials. It has good compatibility with PVC resin, low volatility and small migration. It has excellent thermal and light stability, water and oil resistance, and non-toxicity.
