Two products have been recalled for misbranding and undeclared allergens, more specifically undeclared milk. Panque Butter Pound Cake and H-E-B Original Smoked Sausages are recalled. Anyone who is allergic to milk or who is lactose intolerance may have a serious reaction if they eat either of these products. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been reported to date.

The first recall is for about 51,188 pounds of ready to eat cheddar smoked H-E-B Made in Texas Original Smoked Sausage made by J Bar Foods of Weimar, Texas for undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. These items were produced on January 19, 2019.

The recall is for H-E-B Made in Texas Original Smoked Sausage in 14 ounce vacuum-sealed packages. The sell by date on the product is 5/19/19 and the lot code is LN2 90149. The sausage have the establishment number “7066A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were sold in retail outlets in Texas.

A retail store notified the company about an incorrect label.

The second recall is for Gilda Industries Panque Butter Pound Cake, also for undeclared milk.  The product is sold in a 4 pack, 2 ounces each. The lot numbers on the packaging are 9005, 9012, and 9018. The best when used by dates marked on the package are 03/05/2019, 03/12/2019, and 03/19/2019. The UPC number on the product is 071656001017.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to milk, or are lactose intolerant, don’t eat them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
