The main supply of strawberries to the Wanbang market comes from Wuhan, Anhui, and locally, from Henan. Strawberries have been in the market for more than a month and supply is growing. When the strawberries just entered the market they were large and bright red. Many of them were grown inside protective membranes. The flavor was superb, and consumers loved them. The trade volume was not bad.
Traders sold strawberries in delicate gift wrapping for consumers to bring as a present to family and friends during Spring Festival [February 5th, 2019]. The superior quality and the gift wrapping all increased the average price of strawberries.
The trade volume of strawberries fell after Spring Festival concluded. The price followed. Now that the weather is warmer, the strawberries grow faster and the production volume increases. However, strawberries are difficult to keep fresh in warehouses, so the pressure to sell is high. Farmers can not help but lower the price. The supply volume is expected to keep growing, and the price will likely fall even further.
