"Specialization, customer care, continuous innovation, tailored technology and great knowledge of international markets, are some of the aspects which allow us to be one of the leading companies worldwide in the sectors of construction and marketing of machines for fruit processing", states Virginia Cascella, export manager of PND srl, who was contacted by us for an interview regarding machinery for fruit processing.

Solutions for fruit processing
Following 19 years of activity, we have obtained the experience and expertise to make continuous improvements to our vast range of machines. An example of such improvements could be the advanced solutions for the processing of pears, apples, kiwis, oranges, grapefruits, lemons, pineapples, mangoes, strawberries and peaches, with all possible variations to satisfy the needs of companies producing fresh fourth range products, and of companies involved in the production of dried food, frozen food and canned products (such as jams and peaches in syrup).

"An example of advanced machinery in our sector is the PL6M, a semi-automatic peeler with six processing heads. Initially, it was designed with the scope of peeling mangoes, while nowadays it can also peel kiwifruit. The advantages of the PL6M technology, which include regulating the thickness of the peel, managing the production speed and the rotation of the fruit via an inverter, associated with the possibility of processing fruits of different calibres without any adjustment and fast maintenance can now be exploited for peeling both mangoes and kiwifruit" continues Virginia Cascella.

The range of machines

"Those who opt for one of our 15 semiautomatic, manual or automatic machines available in the PND catalog, will experience that it can easily be adapted to one's needs. For example, the new DRR coring and ring slicer machine can core and cut apples and peaches into slices, with a minimum thickness of 3 mm per ring. The loading plate rotates at intervals: when the plate stops, the three operations, namely loading, coring and slicing take place simultaneously," adds Virginia Cascella.

The market
PND guarantees personalized assistance anywhere in Europe, in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru, South Korea, Egypt, Vietnam, Tanzania, Australia, China, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

PND cares about promoting its activities, and therefore they participated at this year's edition of Fruit Logistica held in Berlin, following ten years of participation in this event, obtaining a very positive result overall.
