Chile has become an important player in China's imported fruit market because of their wide product variety and the complementary nature of its production seasons. The Shenzhen Gold Anda Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereafter 'Gold Anda') invested more than 10 million USD in the Chilean fruit industry to better seize business opportunities in Chile and expand its global industry and services. The Gold Anda fruit processing factory is the first in the Maule region.
Mr. Antonio Walker and the superintendent of the 7th region hosted the "Gold Anda Chile" opening ceremony. Walker said that "the investment in the Maule region that this project attracts from China is important because it strengthens the business relations between the two countries."
The newly constructed factory has a daily fruit processing capacity of as much as 100 tons. The factory will mainly package fruit that is destined for export to China. Gold Anda CEO Xie Jinshan said that the initial investment was mainly used to purchase the most advanced cherry selection equipment from Italy, while later and larger investments will be used in the areas of plantation and processing.
