The "2019 Pujiang Chou tangerine orchard opening ceremony" recently took place. This event officially marked the first supply of Chou tangerines this year. The Chou tangerines from Pujiang are sweeter this year and the product quality is higher. This is the result of long years of standardization in production management. The Chou tangerine has a long plantation history in Pujiang, which is often praised as the hometown of top-quality hybrid tangerines in China. The overall surface area devoted to standardized plantation of Chou tangerines in Pujiang reached 17 thousand hectares this year, with about 80% in operation. The annual production volume exceeds 370 thousand tons and the production value is around 4 billion yuan [600 million USD].
