At the Uzbek Embassy in Muscat, this week saw an exhibition/presentation, dedicated to the launch of a pilot project for the supply of Uzbek fruits to Oman.
Earlier, the embassy -together with the Oman Global Logistics Group ASYAD - organized the first test supply of Uzbek fruits to the capital city Muscat. To date, about 200 kg have been shipped to Oman by air.
The exhibition, co-organized by the embassy in cooperation with ASYAD, was also attended by the Bahraini Ambassador Juma al-Qabi, a delegation of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, representatives of the Embassies of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Atyab Foodtech, Al-Hosn, Al-Hamdani and a number of major Omani distributors and trading companies.
The executives of ASYAD emphasized their readiness to provide all the necessary conditions for creating a so-called hub for the supply and distribution of Uzbek fruits and vegetables in the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf.
Representatives of the Bahraini Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates highly appreciated the taste of Uzbek fruits and expressed their readiness to discuss the prospects for re-export of Uzbek agricultural products from Oman to their countries.
