The absorption of the Valencian cooperative Coagri by Anecoop will allow the entity to integrate, coordinate and market the production of 71 cooperatives and horticultural companies representing more than 27,000 agricultural producers.

Coagri currently has about 1,400 members and produces some 30 million kilos of fruit and vegetables per year, including citrus fruits, stone fruit and kakis. In terms of volume, its kaki production stands out the most, with 23,000 tons per year. It also produces 4,500 tons of citrus fruits (mandarins, clementines and oranges).

Commercial expansion
Coagri's incorporation is a testament to Anecoop's commitment to grow and improve in terms of product specialization. In the words of its president, Alejandro Monzón, "by absorbing Coagri, a cooperative with a considerable volume and long experience, highly specialized in the cultivation of Rojo Brillante kakis, Anecoop already accounts for 50% of the Spanish production of this fruit."

Coagri has 4 warehouses with a total area of more than 24,000 m². Its facilities feature pre-cooling, storage and ripening chambers, two laboratories for quality control, a 3,000 m² supply warehouse dedicated to the sale of plant protection products and fertilizers, and a test field, where fruit and vegetable varieties and new treatments are tested. In addition, the cooperative has several certificates that certify compliance with traceability and food safety standards, such as the IFS Certificate, Grasp, Global Gap and BRC Certificate.

Anecoop, founded in 1975, has become one of the largest international distribution companies for citrus, vegetables, non-citrus fruits and wine. It is the biggest fruit and vegetable company in the Mediterranean, a Spanish leader in the marketing of fruits and vegetables and one of the world's leading operators in the citrus, watermelon and kaki sectors.
