The Crock-Pot brand is owned by Jarden Consumer Solutions (JCS), a leading manufacturer and marketer of consumer products.
B&G Foods president and CEO David L Wenner said the new line is a unique opportunity for B&G Foods - it enables the company to leverage the brand power and reputation of Crock-Pot, the Original Slow Cooker, and provide high quality, affordable food products that answer real consumer needs.
According to the company, the seasoning mixes, which feature a combination of savory spices and herbs, will help consumers prepare and enjoy classic family dishes with ease.
B&G Foods will launch the seasoning mix line with three varieties: Hearty Beef Stew, Savory Pot Roast and BBQ Pulled Pork. Each will be available in single-serving packets that season two to three pounds of meat in a Crock-Pot slow cooker.
The company plans to expand the line with additional flavors later this year. Crock-Pot Seasoning Mixes will be available beginning in September 2012 at grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $1.99.
