Baker’s Pride to add donut facility in Iowa

Core Tip: Baker’s Pride, Inc., a commercial bakery and manufacturer of private label and proprietary baked products, is building a 65,000-square-foot donut facility at its Mount Pleasant Street Bakery.
The facility will make both frozen ready-to-finish and ready-to-sell donuts, and it should begin production later this year. The new facility also will allow Baker’s Pride to make filled and yeast raised donuts for the first time.

“We are pleased to soon offer a wider range of high-quality donut products to our in-store bakery and private label customers,” said Rob Brookhart, president of Baker’s Pride, Inc. “When completed, the Mount Pleasant Street facility in Burlington, Iowa, will utilize the latest baking technology, create jobs within our community and produce delicious products for our in-store bakery customers nationwide.”
