Baker’s Pride has opened 65,000ft² donut manufacturing facility at its Mt. Pleasant Street Bakery in Burlington, Iowa, US.

The facility uses modern baking technology to produce mass quantities of donuts with consistent quality and product integrity, while offering cost efficiencies for customers, the company said.

In addition, the production line features blast freezer capabilities. After the blast freeze, products are then held at minus 10 degrees in a holding freezer to lock in freshness and ensure product integrity.

Baker's Pride offers a complete portfolio of frozen bulk and pre-packaged donuts, which have zero grams of transfat. The entire donut portfolio is available in a variety of packaging options including cups, tubs, clamshells and trays.

Baker's Pride is a commercial bakery manufacturer for the private label and branded needs of supermarket chains, the food service industry and convenience stores. Its products include pre-packaged and bulk cake style and yeast raised donuts; and both fresh and frozen options of sliced packaged bread. Headquartered in Burlington, Iowa, the company has two integrated facilities - Mt. Pleasant Street Bakery and Jefferson Street Bakery.
