The company is recalling all foods processed the same day as the diced yellow onions on the same line as the contaminated sample. These products, packaged under the brans "Gill's Onions," were shipped between July 2 and 4, 2012 to retailers in Canada and in eight U.S. states, including California, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Washington. Gills Onions is contacting all retailers who bought the recalled product and asking them to remove it from shelves and notify store customers of the recall.
Anyone who purchased the recalled product should not consume it and should destroy or discard it. Consumers with questions can call the company at 1-800-348-2255 Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm PDT.
