Core Tip: ACE Bakery, a producer of baked goods, plans to invest $18.4m to set up a new facility in Cherokee County, South Carolina, US.
The facility will produce the company's artisan line of baked breads for both the retail and foodservice sectors. It is expected to create 51 new jobs.

ACE Bakery, a wholly-owned subsidiary of George Weston, manufactures artisan and European-style using simple ingredients and no preservatives. It supplies the products to retail and food service markets.

Weston Foods Operations executive vice president said Ed Holik said that South Carolina offered the company the right mix of a business-friendly environment and strong workforce, which will help in the growth of the business.

"We appreciate all the support we've received from state and local officials," Holik added.
