The new range can also be equipped with multi-frequency metal detectors, the firm added.
MULTIVAC, which provides packaging solutions for a number of sectors including food, has been focusing in recent years on extending its packaging line solutions in order to meet food sector customer demand for a “one stop shop.”
End-to-end packaging
“With the new MR281 checkweighers, MULTIVAC completes its product range for turnkey, end-to-end packaging lines,” said the firm.
“MULTIVAC customers benefit from the advantage of being able to obtain all the line components from one source: full integration of the line modules, the right interfaces, single uniform operator guidance and one person to contact.”
“As all line components can be obtained from one source: full integration of the line modules, the right interfaces, single uniform operator guidance and one person to contact, it’s both better productivity and money saving.”
The metal detector, which is optional, docks mechanically on the infeed side of the checkweigher – detecting a number of types of metal including iron, stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze and titanium.
“The MR821 checkweighers can be equipped as an option with multi-frequency metal detectors,” said the firm.
“The MR821 checkweighers can be adapted to every application,” MULTIVAC added.
Complete line solutions
Earlier this month, MULTIVAC’s UK business announced that it had entered into an agreement with Italy-based food processing equipment manufacturer Risco as part of an effort to extend its line solutions.
MULTIVAC UK marketing manager Andrew Stark told FoodProductionDaily.com at the time that the agreement would further its ability to deliver a “truly complete line solution.”
