Core Tip: UK-based supermarket chain Tesco has recalled its own-brand Prawn Masala and Pilau Rice over incorrect ‘use by’ date, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
The FSA noted that the product should have 'use by' date of 22 August 2012; however, it bears a 'use by' date of 22 September 2012.

The product affected by the recall is Tesco Prawn Masala and Pilau Rice, 500g, with a use by date of 22 September 2012. The agency has advised consumers who have bought the product to not eat it.

Tesco has recalled the affected products. Customer notices have been displayed in stores, explaining the reason for the recall. The product can be returned to the store for a full refund.

No other Tesco products are known to be affected.
