Israel-based nutraceutical ingredients company LycoRed has announced that its new premix plant in Changzhou, China, is fully approved.
The new plant, which is fully operational, will cater to processors of infant formula, beverage, baby food and other food products in the Asia Pacific region.
The plant is expected to meet the growing demand in China and South East Asia for nutritional premixes, which are used to fortify foods to help address dietary deficiencies in nutrients such as Vitamin A and iron.
LycoRed noted that it will be exhibiting concepts of vitamin and mineral premixes developed for Asian processors at 'Vitafoods Asia' - a three-day event dedicated to nutraceutical ingredients and raw materials, which will be held in Hong Kong from 5 to 7 September 2012.
The company also announced that it has recently received Halal MUI certificate for its new vitamin D3, E and K1 formulations, which have been developed using a proprietary spray-drying process to ensure completely solubility.
Concurrently, the company has appointed Jason Foo as sales and business development manager, who will head the sales and business development in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
LycoRed, which has regional facilities in US, Europe, and Asia, provides natural carotenoids and a range of other natural nutritional and coloring ingredients to the dietary supplement, functional food & beverage and nutricosmetic industries globally.
