US chain Corner Bakery Cafe has appointed franchise and restaurant veteran Gary Price as its new president.
Price, who will join Corner Bakery Cafe from service station chain Pilot Flying J, will be responsible for overseeing an expansion programme to double the firm's US footprint.
"This is a tremendous opportunity to lead such a highly regarded brand. There is a strong heritage here and Corner Bakery Cafe is clearly a leader in the fastest growing segment of the restaurant industry," said Price.
"I look forward to the tremendous opportunities we have as we more than double the size of our brand in the next three to four years through both franchise and company development."
“He (Price) brings a strong understanding of franchising and his best-in-class leadership will be invaluable as we move forward with our aggressive expansion goals,” added Mike Hislop, Corner Bakery Cafe’s chief executive.
Established in 1991, Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants are owned and operated by CBC Restaurant Corp. The chain has around 140 company-owned and franchised outlets across the US.
