Corner Bakery Café, a fast-casual restaurant chain, has entered into a new multi-unit restaurant franchise agreement with Parikh Network, as part of its plans to launch upto 21 outlets in the Boston area.

This latest agreement is part of the chain's aim to more than double its US footprint in the next three to four years. The first outlet will be opened in Massachusetts in 2014.

Corner Bakery currently has franchise agreements for a total of almost 300 cafes. The company is emphasizing on multi-unit national expansion and partner with known franchise leaders and operators in the restaurant industry.

Corner Bakery Cafe Franchise sales vice president Gregg Koffler said, "Boston is the perfect place for each new restaurant to quickly become a favorite gathering place for local families and friends."

Parikh Network CEO Ashish Parikh said, "Additionally, Corner Bakery Cafe stands out amongst the other players in the bakery cafe category with its operational excellence, best-in-class catering and excellent unit-level economics."

Established in 1991, Corner Bakery Cafe restaurants are owned and operated by CBC Restaurant, with more than 150 company-owned and franchised outlets across the country. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to guests in 14 states and Washington, D.C.

Parikh Network also owns and operates 73 Popeyes Louisiana Kitchens.
