Corner Bakery Cafe has signed a new multi-unit development deal with C&L Café to develop nine new restaurants in the Central Valley area in California.
First cafes under the agreement will be opened in 2014, with the remaining sites scheduled to open over the next five years.
Corner Bakery Cafe Franchise Sales vice president Gregg Koffler said that the company is excited to start off 2014 with its latest development agreement, that will help it in expanding the reach of its signature neighborhood bakery cafe experience even further in the California market.
"With all of the momentum we're experiencing coming off a record-breaking year with 12 Area Development Agreements, the Central Valley area is the perfect place to continue our expansion plans as the brand looks to numerous new locations and even more fans on the West Coast," Koffler added.
Last month, the company announced plans to open eight new restaurants in the Sacramento area.
Further, the fast-casual brand is also looking to expand to new markets in Alabama, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio and Tennessee.
