New Plymouth-based brewery Liberty Brewing has unveiled a new beer, Yakima Monster, a APA brewed by Brewer Joseph Wood.
The beer has been made using simcoe and amarillo hops grown in the region of Yakima, in Washington, US, according to stuff.co.
Yakima Monster, which has also won the trophy for the US ales category at the 2012 Brewers Guild Beer Awards held in Wellington in August, weighs at 6% abv.
The beer is also malted with the use of British golden promise malts and caramalt.
