Laithwaites Wine, a UK-based independent wine merchant, is to expand the Turkish wine portfolio with the addition of new wine.
The decision to expand the wines came after founder Tony Laithwaite and global wine director Justin Howard-Sneyd attended the European Wine Bloggers Conference (EWBC) held at Izmir, Turkey.
Howard-Sneyd told Harpers that the EWBC is an important event as they were always depended on blogging to reach its customers.
"We really believe that technical innovation is the way to enrich customer experience - the redesign of the Laithwaite's website and launch of our App are just two ways we have upped our digital offering recently and through our sponsorship of the EWBC, we want to show our commitment to blogging as a hugely important platform in the wine industry," Howard-Sneyd added.
"From pioneering wine practices to pioneering wine places, with this year's conference taking place in Turkey, we just couldn't resist indulging another of our passions by picking up some new Turkish bottles too - our Turkish Vinart Kalecik Karasi Syrah 2010 went down a treat with customers and critics alike and we just know there's plenty more where that came from."
