Scotland-based drinks firm Pincer Vodka has signed a five-year distribution agreement with Anteo Sales & Marketing of Spain to distribute its brand in the region.
The 38% ABV Pincer vodka is made from 100% selected grain and the finest Scottish mountain water with the natural botanical extracts of Milk Thistle and Wild Elderflower.
Dubbed as the second largest export deal of 2012 for Pincer, Anteo will initially distribute around 360 cases of vodka with six bottles per case in Spain, which will arrive in January 2013. Pincer further plans to double that volume in 2013, reported hearldscotland.com.
Pincer Vodka founder Jonathan Engels told the website that gin has been popular for few years in Spain and people are now looking for other botanical spirits.
"Anteo believes Pincer is the one and are putting a big advertising and promotion budget behind it," he added.
"We managed to iron out the deal in a couple of weeks. As Anteo have an established distribution network they will be able to increase volumes rapidly."
Anteo Sales & Marketing will distribute the Pincer brand initially in the trade plus in the department stores and at El Corte Ingles airport outlets.
