US-based Morey’s Seafood International has received British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification under the Global Standard for Food Safety.
BRC has become a standard for best practice in the food industry for evaluating both manufactures and retailers.
The audits are based on senior management commitment, food safety plan (HACCP), food safety and quality management system, site standards, product control, process control and personnel.
Earlier this year Morey's Minnesota Processing and Distribution center completed BRC certification with a Grade A.
BRC certification assures suppliers and formulators that the ingredients sourced from Batory meet rigorous criteria for safety and quality.
