Benromach Distillery, a Speyside distillery owned and run by Gordon and Macphil, is to add a new bottling line at its Forres-based facility in Scotland in 2013.
The decision to add a new bottling line was the result of a growth in sales of its products in 2012, which increased by 13% in the UK and 40% throughout the world. Its main markets in 2012 were China, Sweden, France and the US.
Gordon and MacPhail managing director Michael Urquhart told BBC that being a small distillery in Speyside, Benromach has reported strong growth in sales.
"Benromach's single malts are becoming increasingly popular with people who want a whisky with a distinctive traditional Speyside style," he added.
The construction costs for the building and the new line is expected to be around £540,000 and it will be able to fill up to 3,000 bottles of the spirit per hour.
